Privacy and your information
You can take any course on this site without telling us who you are. We only collect personal information if you ask us for a certificate.
What we collect, and when
Taking a course collects nothing about you personally. Your place in a course is stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
If you ask for a certificate, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your organisation and role. We also record which course you completed, your score and the date.
Why we collect it
- To produce your certificate and email it to you.
- To keep a register of certificates we have issued, so that an employer can confirm one is genuine.
- If — and only if — you tick the consent box, to send you occasional information about WHS training. You can unsubscribe from any of those emails.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else except the services we use to run this site.
Who processes it
- Supabase — stores the certificate register.
- Resend — sends your certificate email.
- Vercel — hosts this website.
Certificate verification
Anyone with a certificate number can check it at /verify/<number>. That page shows only the name on the certificate, the course title, the date and the number. It never shows your email address, organisation, role or whether you consented to marketing.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you ask us to delete your record, your certificate will no longer be verifiable. Contact us at jessica@oranaskillscentre.com.
This page is a plain-English summary of how the site works. It should be reviewed against the Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003 before the site goes live.
