This course takes about 30 minutes. You can stop at any point and pick up where you left off.
It is for anyone who works, any role, any industry, any country. You need no prior knowledge of safety or psychology.
What this course is
An awareness course. By the end you will be able to recognise psychosocial hazards at work, understand how they cause harm and know what to do when you notice one.
What it is not
- It is not about diagnosing anyone, including yourself. Psychosocial hazards are features of work, not conditions people have.
- It is not therapy or clinical advice. If you are struggling, please talk to your doctor or a support service.
- It is not the law of any one country. Requirements differ, and they are changing quickly. We cover the international picture so you know what direction things are moving, but you should check what applies where you work.
- It is not a management course. Assessing psychosocial risk, designing controls and consulting a workforce are a leader’s job. There is a companion course for that.
Where it comes from
The structure follows ISO 45003, the international standard for psychological health and safety at work. It is the closest thing to a shared global reference on this subject, which is why it is used here rather than any national rulebook.
Your privacy
Nothing you do in this course is recorded against your name, and your place is saved in your own browser. At the end you can ask for a certificate: that is the only point at which we collect anything about you, and it is entirely optional.
